Who to contact

MatterForge operates this shop at matterforge.co.uk. For questions about your personal information, contact [email protected], call 0115 795 2346, or write to MatterForge, Ransom Wood Business Park, Southwell Road West, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG21 0HJ.

Information used by the shop

When you order, the shop records your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address, any phone number and order notes you provide, products purchased and payment status. If you create an account, it also holds your account details and order history. Enquiries contain the information you choose to send us. Technical information such as IP address, browser details and website requests may be processed to operate and protect the website.

Order and delivery information is needed to fulfil your purchase and deal with returns. Contact details are used for order updates and enquiries. Transaction records support accounting and legal obligations. Security information helps prevent fraud and maintain the service; this is our legitimate interest in running a secure shop. Required checkout fields must be completed so we can process your order.

Payments and service providers

Card payments are handled through WooPayments and Stripe. Card details are entered into the payment provider’s secure fields; the shop receives payment references and status information. Payment, hosting, email and delivery providers process information needed to provide their services. Choosing a wallet or instalment payment option also involves that provider and its own terms.

See Automattic’s privacy notice and Stripe’s privacy notice for their processing, international transfers and safeguards. Payment providers may use automated fraud checks or, for instalment methods, eligibility checks.

Cookies

The shop uses cookies to remember your basket and customer session, support account login, and operate payment and security features. Blocking these cookies in your browser may prevent checkout or account functions from working. Embedded payment services may use their own cookies and similar technologies; their privacy notices explain these.

Keeping your information

Retention depends on the purpose of the record: completing an order, handling returns or disputes, maintaining an account, and meeting accounting or legal requirements. The shop does not currently apply an automatic deletion period to completed orders or inactive accounts. Contact us to request a review or deletion; records required for legal obligations or unresolved transactions may need to be kept.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion, restriction, or transfer of eligible data. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the circumstances. Contact us using the details above; we may need to verify your identity.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are concerned about how your information is handled.
